There are many reasons to like this movie and many reasons to hate it. When I first heard of this movie I couldn't help thinking that it was going to be ridiculous. Cowboys & Aliens proved me wrong, but didn't prove to be great.
Cowboys & Aliens starts off a bit slow but you soon find out that you will sit through the movie watching none other than cowboys and aliens. Many may find this movie unattractive for many reasons, but its actually a movie that has tons of entertainment and a great deal of suspense.
The characters in this movie were great. Nothing to tweak in terms of performance and the relationships between the characters help the movie flow better and keeps you enthralled. Who knew Indiana Jones and James Bond would make a great duo.
Many things are a question in this movie that you find out as you go on, but as you go on it gets to be somewhat of a mess. One thing after another starts piling on top of each other and soon becomes too much and the visually ugly flashbacks don't help the movie much. In fact I think we could have put the pieces together without the flashbacks.
Yes, this movie is pure entertainment and is a good model for adventure, action and suspense, but it became too messy of a story as events were piled on top of another. C+
