Memorial Day Weekend Box Office


This weekend Kung Fu Panda fell short and The Hangover Part II was on top. The Hangover Part II made a massive $105.8 million in its 4 day weekend, making its five-day total to an estimated $137.4 million. Kung Fu Panda on the other hand didn't do so well and fell short from the forecasts and of it's predecessor.

This Memorial Day weekend was the top grossing Memorial Day weekend ever, but sequels still fell short. Kung Fu Panda fell, making an estimated $62.2 million in its 4 day weekend, making its five-day total to an estimated $68 million. The first Kung Fu Panda made $60.3 million on its non-holiday weekend and a five-day total of $72.8 million. Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides took a slip domestically, making $50.4 million over the holiday weekend making its total $164 million in 11 days. However, Pirates is doing more than OK over seas with a total of $470.8 million, bringing its overall box office to a massive $634.8 million.
