Pirates Top the Weekend Box Office

Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides proved it still had some life left in it. It didn't show as much as its previous movies, but it made a good $90.1 million. In the foreign box office it grew stronger earning a massive $256.3 million breaking a couple of records. It topped Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince for highest grossing weekend of all time.

Bridesmaids showed an impressive second weekend box office with an estimated $21.1 million with a 20 percent drop, even more impressive than any recent comedy including the 40-Year-Old-Virgin and The Hangover. Thor is also holding on strong with a good $15.5 million. Taking the fourth place is Fast Five earning a $10.6 million and in 5th is Rio with a $4.65 million.
